Kalorik is a calorie, macro and weight tracking app. It does not show ads, does not track you and does not sell your data.

Account

To use Kalorik you create an account with Apple, Google or email. Accounts are managed by Google Firebase Authentication; we store your email address, your name (if provided) and an account identifier. We never see your password.

Your logs and cloud sync

Your diary, weight and water logs, profile and goals, saved meals and scanned products are written to your phone first and then stored in Google Cloud Firestore, linked to your account, so they are available when you change phones or sign in on another device. Only you can access this data; it is not used for advertising or marketing, not sold and not shared with third parties. Automatic backups are also kept on your phone or in a Files folder you choose.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account and all of your cloud data at any time in Profile › Account › Delete account. Cancel your subscription separately in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.

Apple Health

With your permission, Kalorik writes the foods, water and weight you log to Apple Health and reads your active energy and weight. Weight readings from Apple Health may be synced to your account as part of your weight history. Health data is not used for advertising or marketing and is not shared with third parties. You can change permissions at any time in the Health app.

AI analysis

When you ask for an estimate from a meal photo or a text description, the photo or text is sent through our server to the Google Gemini API solely to produce the estimate. We do not store photos or text. Google processes this content under the Gemini API terms.

Subscription

Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details. To verify your subscription our server asks Apple about the transaction identifier only. Purchases are linked to your account with an anonymous identifier derived from it (appAccountToken).

Product information

When you scan a barcode or search for a product, the barcode or search text is sent to Open Food Facts to fetch product details.

Server logs

To prevent abuse we keep daily request counters, tied to the transaction identifier or to a one-way hash of the IP address, deleted within 48 hours. Our infrastructure provider Cloudflare may keep standard request logs for a short time for security.

Children

Kalorik is not directed at children under 13.
